Here are some Tips to guide you through 5 lbs of weight loss.
Eat 5 times per day: 7 am breakfast, 10 am snack, 1 pm lunch, 4 pm snack and 7 pm dinner. Nothing after 7 pm but water. This pattern keeps your metabolism running all day long and keeps you burning fat.
No Sugar for 7 Days: cut out all processed sugars for at least 7 days and you will see the weight melt away.
Water: Water should be your drink of choice. Cut out all the rest. No sugary drinks (especially soda etc. ). No Starbucks or any of these high calorie coffee drinks.
Alcohol: Stop killing all your hard work with alcohol. You do so well all week and then figure you'll cheat a little bit with a drink . . . or two . . . or three. Alcohol is calorie intake with no nutritional value. Each drink can range from 200 up to 600 or 700 calories. Let's take a low calorie drink as an example. Its Friday night and you ate really clean all day then happy hour comes around and you have 3 low calorie drinks. You could be adding 750 calories to your daily intake, so instead of only taking in 1800 calories you have now taken in over 2500. (3500 calories creates a pound of fat on your body.)
Eat More Fruit: Buy apples and start eating an apple every morning. There are so many different kinds of apples you can literally change it up every day so you don't get bored with the flavor.
Protein: Make sure to have protein at every meal and snack. The protein helps keep your metabolism running all the time.
Workout: Make sure to move at least 30 minutes a day 3 to 5 times per week.
Never Skip Breakfast: That old saying about breakfast being the most important meal of the day . . . SOO true! Your metabolism shuts down over night and you want to kick start every morning. The only way to do that is to EAT.
Stop Eating Out: Start cooking and eating IN instead of eating OUT. The problem today is that we have no idea how they are cooking our food or what's actually in it. If you are a chronic Eater Outer . . . start cooking and you will see the weight drop off.
Fiber: We need fiber in our diet to keep things in proper moving order. You can get fiber from Veggies: broccoli, spinach, asparagus, cauliflower, green lettuce. Make a point of having some sort of veggie at each meal and snack.
