Whether you're off on a summer vacation, a business trip, or a weekend getaway, staying active while traveling doesn't have to mean finding a gym or packing weights in your suitcase. With a little creativity and consistency, you can keep your fitness routine going strong—no equipment required!
💡 Use Your Hotel Room:
Your hotel room is your private gym!
Try this quick full-body circuit: (I have PLENTY more!)
20 squats
15 push-ups (modify: leaning on the bed or on knees)
30-second plank
20 alternating lunges (change up the lunges each round: reverse, forward, lateral)
10 burpees (modifier: get down on the ground & get backup)
Repeat 3–4 rounds for a solid sweat session in under 20 minutes.
🌅 Start Your Day with Movement
Wake up 15–20 minutes early and go for a brisk walk or run, stair climb, or mobility flow. Not only does it boost energy—it sets a healthy tone for the rest of your day.
🧘♀️ Stretch & Breathe: After sitting on planes or driving long hours, your body needs to stretch.
Try 5–10 minutes of yoga or simple stretches:
Cat-cow
Downward dog
Hip flexors stretch
Neck and shoulder rolls
Deep breathing to reset your nervous system
🏖 Use the Outdoors: Beaches, trails, and parks are perfect workout spots. Try:
Walking lunges on the sand
Walking/Jogging on the beach
Push-ups on a bench
Step-ups on a curb
Sit ups on the grass
Plank anywhere!
Sprints or intervals on a path
🔄 Short on Time? Do a 10-Minute AMRAP
Set a timer and cycle through:
10 squats
10 push-ups
10 mountain climbers (each leg)
10 sit-ups
Repeat as many rounds as possible in 10 minutes!
BONUS: later that day or the next day - REPEAT and try to beat your # of rounds!!!
✨ Wrap Up: Don’t aim for perfection—aim for movement. A little consistency goes a long way, and you'll come home feeling refreshed, strong, and proud that you made time for you.
IMPORTANT: Always be extra careful when in an unfamiliar place.
